The San Diego Paranormal Research Society utilizes various electronic devices when conducting case studies. These range from environmental monitoring equipment, cameras, audio recorders, video cameras, experimental gadgets to metaphysical objects. It is vitally important to analyze all your collected data in a meticulous, thorough and timely manner and look for correlations between data captures, personal experiences and intuitive impressions.
Due to the time it takes to analyze all of our case study data, we only take on one to two cases per month as we do have full-time jobs outside of our paranormal research. Data review and collection is a tedious but rewarding step in the entire research project. Many hours are spent listening to and analyzing audio from various recorders via audio software programs, such as Adobe Audition, Audacity and Pro Tools. Furthermore, spirit photo analysis is equally as engaging as we utilize photographic software when studying alleged anomalous photographs. Static video camera / video surveillance system review takes hours, if not days, to review as we often look at images frame by frame. Additionally, we take the time to see how the environmental monitoring (EMF, temperature, static electricity, humidity, etc) results of a case study correlate to captured data and/or personal experiences.
Examining all these components is crucial as it allows us to piece together the puzzle of the particular paranormal research project. The more pieces that connect, the better we can tell a story about that location. Again, we have a strong passion to and dedication for our work as paranormal researchers. Our professionalism, core values, devotion and respect for the field at large is reflected in how we conduct our field work.
